Woman Punches Officer During Traffic Stop, West Lebanon Police Say

A 23-year-old Annville has been arrested after fighting with police officers during a traffic stop, the Western Lebanon County Regional Police announced on Thursday, Oct. 24.

Cathyria Reyes Rodriguez was pulled over by the police in the 1300 block of East Main Street in Annville at 12:39 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22, the police detailed in the release.

The police were attempting a traffic stop after discovering she was driving with a suspended license plate. 

"During the course of the investigation Reyes-Rodriguez began to physically fight with Officers, striking one Officer with a closed fist," the police said. 

Reyes-Rodriguez was arrested and charged with felony assault on law enforcement;  misdemeanors for simple assault, resisting arrest, tampering with evidence, disorderly conduct, and possession of marijuana; and summary offenses of operating a motor vehicle without financial responsibility, and displaying fraudulent inspection stickers, according to the police and confirmed by court documents.

She was released on $25,000 in bail and her preliminary hearing has been set for Thursday, Oct. 31.
